Marina Fire

A fire occurred at a local marina. Damage was minimal to what it could have been. Our dedicated team at SERVPRO of North Knoxville were onsite right away. Along with the help of subcontractors, we were able to assess the situation and alleviate the worries of all parties involved. Luckily, nobody was hurt and damage to the docks were minimal. We tore out the old dock boards and replaced them with new boards. We cleaned the smoke damage from the awning and poles on the dock. There was not much damage to the structure of the dock but a few of the boats were damaged beyond repair. This just goes to show a fire can happen ANYWHERE. A fire happening on water seems bizarre, but it is possible. The boat owners were able to file insurance claims and the dock was brought back to preloss conditions. "Like it never even happened."
